Patrick Ottenhoff heads the Research Team at The Cypress Group, leads many of the firm’s Strategic Consulting initiatives, and covers energy, payments/cards, and other financial services and capital markets issues. Prior to joining Cypress, Patrick earned his MBA at Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business, during which he was with UBS Americas’ US Office of Public Policy and was a summer associate with eBay/PayPal’s Global Government Relations. Before business school, Patrick managed several public affairs clients at a Washington consulting firm, including trade associations, Congressional campaigns, and legislative coalitions. He began his career in Washington writing for The Hotline, and his writing has been featured in National Journal and Politico. A native of Virginia, Patrick also works with Virginia FREE, an advocacy non-profit committed to keeping Virginia the best state for business. Patrick earned his MBA in Finance from Georgetown and a BA in Political Science from Union College.
