Hilary Halpern is an Associate at the Cypress Group focusing on housing and mortgage finance, consumer finance, FinTech, and other financial services and capital markets issues. She also works on the firm’s strategic consulting initiatives. Prior to joining Cypress, Hilary earned her MBA at Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business, where she worked as a graduate research assistant with the Center for Financial Market Policy and co-authored several papers published by the World Economic Forum on the subject of FinTech Regulation and SME Financing. Her work has been presented at the Global SME Finance Forum in Beijing, China and at the Alliance for Financial Inclusion’s annual meeting in Bali, Indonesia, where she was also a keynote speaker. Before business school, Hilary worked for Senator Michael Rounds of South Dakota, the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and on John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign. Hilary is a native Washingtonian and earned her BA in History from Lehigh University.
